The Central Plains Region The Central Plains region is located in the province of Manitoba, Canada, immediately west of the capital city of Winnipeg. Click here to see a map of the area. The region has a population of approximately 40,000 and consists of some 21 local government jurisdictions. Membership in Central Plains Inc. is voluntary. Participating member communities pay a per capita fee ($1) to support the work of the corporation. Our member communities are listed below. Click on the buttons at the left or the link to get more information on these municipalities.
